Share Me a Dream first started in 2011.

Before moving to Australia, the original founders witnessed and experienced poverty in the Southern Philippines. Having attended many charity events, they wanted to do more than just donate money. So each year SMAD organises charity ball events in Melbourne with full course dinners, unlimited drinks, live entertainment and plenty of dancing to raise proceeds for charity missions in the Philippines.

Thanks to the support of charity ball event attendees, sponsors and donors, Share Me A Dream Australia puts forth the funding for various projects that directly give back to underfunded communities in the Philippines. Along with other local partners and nonprofits on the ground in the Philippines, SMAD committee members actually travel to the country to ensure funds are being used responsibly. Each year the SMAD not-for-profit organisation grows, with growing support from the community, enabling us to help more and more impoverished people.
